We are interested in understanding the regulatory mechanisms of ion channels, which is a special type of protein located in the cell membrane structure. In addition, we are seeking regulators of ion channels from natural products, such as active compounds of Chinese traditional medicine.
Multiple techniques associated with the patch clamp, membrane capacitance recording, amperometry, optical imaging of fluorescent indicator dyes and fluorescent proteins, and FRET are employed in our lab for precise deciphering the rapid signaling transduction network.
